Questions, answered.

How are credits counted?
A credit is used when a candidate or employee starts an assessment, not when you assign it. Invite as many people as you like and only pay for the ones who begin. Top-up credits stay valid for 12 months and are used only after your plan credits run out.
Is this proctoring?
No proctoring. There is no webcam and no recording. Integrity is a score from 0 to 100 built from interaction data, with AI flags on top. It points reviewers to attempts worth a closer look, and never rejects anyone on its own.
Can candidates cheat with AI assistants?
Real work in a live environment is much harder to hand off to an AI chat than a quiz. The integrity score surfaces the patterns outsourcing leaves behind, such as heavy pasting, tab switching, and idle then burst activity, and the AI review reports what it observed. Strict mode goes further and blocks copy and paste entirely.
Do candidates need to install anything?
No. Cloud labs, terminals, remote desktops, and web targets all run in the browser. A candidate opens the link and starts working.
Can I run questions instead of hands-on?
Yes. Every assessment can be questions only, hands-on only, or a mix of both. You choose the format for each one.
Can I use it for my own team?
Yes. The same challenges and scoring work for internal upskilling. Benchmark your team, find gaps, and track growth over time.
What data do you collect about candidates?
The work itself, plus interaction signals inside the assessment, such as paste counts and tab switches. Never camera images, audio, or recordings of any kind. ProofRange is operated from the EU under GDPR, no personal details are sent to the AI during evaluation, and personal data is anonymized when a user is removed.
How does the AI evaluation work?
The AI reads the entire attempt: the answers, the hands-on results, and the activity data. It grades open text against your reference answer, grounds every statement in evidence from the attempt, and ends with a clear verdict tier. It informs your decision and never makes it.
Is it only for cybersecurity roles?
Security roles come first, with hands-on content for pentest, SOC, cloud security, DFIR, and more. Any hands-on technical skill that can be shown in a real machine works the same way, including developer and DevOps challenges, and you can always add your own question sets.
